Eric Christian and Courtney Balaun

Hello everyone!

We can't wait to celebrate this happy event with all of you!

We want to say we are excited in getting to share this piece of our adventure with you! We are so blessed to have such family and friends in our lives.

Eric is originally from Rose Hill, KS and has stayed in the Wichita area as a software engineer while pursing his degree at Wichita State University. He has a brother and sister and he enjoys video games and walking.

Courtney is originally from Salina, KS and has moved down to Augusta since graduating from the K-State Veterinary School to become an associate veterinarian at a local practice. She has a twin sister and she enjoys reading, nature and movies.

We first spoke online via the Match program. Our first date was at the Augusta City Lake and we have been inseparable ever since. Major components of our story include Courtney's father's battle and loss to cancer two days after Eric's proposal to Courtney. Another is our close friends in Augusta Mac and Brandi who we get to share almost weekly adventures with; they know our story very well since day one of its adventure. Mac is doing us the honor of officiating our marriage. There has been a lot of laughter, happiness, smiles, tears, loss and sadness. Through it all we have been able to cherish each other through the chaos we call life. Each of us is thankful for God's gift of each other something we have patiently been waiting on. Here we are looking towards the big day on August 15th and find ourselves coming full circle with the wedding to be held off the Augusta City Lake where we first met. We are ready for this committment to each other, this promise before God, this celebration with you our friends and family so we can start the next chapter of our lives as husband and wife.
